TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) units are used for acute and chronic nerve related pain conditions. They send stimulating pulses across the surface of the skin and to the nerve strands. The stimulating pulses help prevent pain signals from reaching the brain and also help stimulate the body's production of endorphins which are the body's natural pain killers.
